Adsorption is one of the most effective ways removing heavy metals such as Cu, Zn, Pb etc from media. This research work investigated adsorption efficiency Calliandra surinamensis pod chaff (Powder Puff flower) for removal their aqueous solutions using its absorbent. C. was activated ZnCl2 solution in water. The carbon obtained characterized terms functional groups present FTIR which gave infrared spectra sample material. impact varying parameters pH solution, adsorbent dosage, particle size and contact time on amounts lead chromium removed were evaluated to determine maximum adsorbed by changing initial concentrations 10 50 mg/l solution. Analysis variance also done effects process variables adsorbed. Increase considered, pH, led a corresponding increase according order 10<20<30<40<50 mg/l. However, more than dosage increased while with increasing size. showed p-value > 0.05 >0.10 that variation not significant adsorbent. While <0.005 <0.05 variations are Also, chromium, 0.0145, 0.0001 0.0034 respectively adsorbent, 0.1679 has no effect amount In conclusion, promising environmental friendly treatment laden chromium.
